Nina was on Twitter!

It's #FollowFriday on Twitter today, so I wasn't expecting too much when the (1) popped up beside my Twitter tab. When I clicked, I realised this was far from the weekly recommendations and "thank you"s or "no problem"s; it was a tweet from Nina.

I'm not sure why I neglected to mention Nina's departure on this blog, but it may be because it was such a sad and sudden event. She told me that her dad lost his job and said that they might have to move house, but I didn't imagine she'd have gone less than month later, and as far away Scotland.

Since this happened 3 months ago, and no-one has contacted her since, I was very surprised to receive this tweet from her today, which simply said "-pokes jess-". We had a conversation, reminiscing about old times and discovering her new-found television favourites: Big Brother and Coach Trip! It was great to talk to her again; you don't appreciate how much people mean until they're not there.

I'm feeling ever so slightly bored, so I figured it was time for another blog post.

So far this summer holiday I have:

• rolled down a hill
• tweeted 536 538 times
• posted a lot on tumblr (139 posts in August alone)
• rediscovered my love for Animal Crossing
• celebrated my sister's birthday
• listened to "2 In The Morning" by New Kids On The Block at 2am 5 times
• blown up 5 balloons
• read "To Kill A Mockingbird"
• consumed 32 toasted cheese sandwiches
• written 21 diary entries
• admitted my Joe girl tendencies (to myself, at least...)

100 facts about me (part 1)

The hashtag #100FactsAboutMe was a trending topic on Twitter a while back, and I attempted it, but only reached number 69... I want to finish it someday, and I though it would be cool to share it here, but in small chunks. Enjoy!

100 Facts About Me
1. Lasagne is the only food I hate.

2. I have no idea how I'm going to write 100 Facts About Me.

3. My birthday is the 19th December and the song Miss Sarajevo by Passengers was number 2 when I was born.

4. I have considered downloading Friday by Rebecca Black. :-[

5. The Passengers song Plot 180 scares me.

6. I have 2 main twitter accounts: this one [@WhildHoney] and @JEKB_; I also have @TweamAshpin and @TweamSmithelle.

7. The U2 member I dream about most often is Adam Clayton.

8. ... closely followed by Larry Mullen Jr.

9. I don't have a favourite U2 member; I like them all EQUALLY.

10. I can't believe I've only just got to #10!

I love it when we receive another glorious image from U2's 360 adventure by way of The Edge's twitter account, especially when it is as random as this beauty, captioned "Achtung Baby". It could easily feature as a line in Beautiful Day B-side "Always". (Something along the lines of: Always wear a safety belt/Always!/Beware of falling coconuts/Always!)
